Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about managing your datacenter infrastructure with Rackeroo.
Rackeroo is a datacenter infrastructure management platform that helps teams document and manage server racks, IP address ranges, and networking resources. It provides a single source of truth for your physical and network infrastructure with features like hierarchical subnet management, rack documentation, and multi-tenant organisation support.
Rackeroo supports both standard 19-inch and 10-inch rack widths. You can configure each rack with its unit height, location, and a detailed description. This gives you a complete picture of your physical infrastructure regardless of rack form factor.
Yes. Rackeroo fully supports both IPv4 and IPv6 address management. You can create IP ranges in either protocol, split them into hierarchical child subnets using CIDR notation, and track individual address assignments with statuses like Available, Assigned, or Reserved.
When you create a parent IP range (e.g. 10.0.0.0/16), you can split it into smaller child subnets with a configurable CIDR prefix length. Rackeroo displays these in a visual hierarchy so you can see exactly how your address space is allocated. Child subnets can be further split as needed.
Rackeroo offers three plans: Starter (free, 5 racks, 10 IP ranges), Team ($29/month, unlimited racks, 100 IP ranges, 5 team members), and Enterprise ($99/month, unlimited everything plus SSO). No credit card is required for the free tier. Visit our pricing page for full details.
Yes. Rackeroo's multi-organisation feature lets you manage separate infrastructure environments with full tenant isolation. Each organisation has its own racks, IP ranges, and team members. This is ideal for managed service providers or enterprise IT departments managing multiple business units.
You can invite team members to your organisation via email. Rackeroo supports role-based access control so you can assign different permission levels to different team members. Team invitations are managed from within your organisation settings.
Yes. Within any IP range, you can track individual addresses with their assignment status (Available, Assigned, or Reserved), hostname, MAC address, and description. This gives you full visibility into how your address space is being used across your network.
